Staff Congregation Relations

  • Responsible for promoting harmony and understanding between the congregation and the Pastor in all matters relating to the Pastor’s leadership of the church. This ministry devises effective methods to obtain views, ideas, and comments from the congregation, and serves as the body that communicates and interprets that information. This ministry is responsible for facilitating resolution in times of conflict.
  • Responsible for developing and updating job descriptions for program and volunteer staff; for hiring and termination of program staff; for developing employment agreements for paid staff; for developing procedures for and conducting performance appraisals for clergy, program, and volunteer staff; for maintaining staffing of volunteer positions and monitoring effectiveness of volunteers; for creating and updating personnel policies as needed; and for ensuring that staff has the proper equipment and office space to conduct their job efficiently.
